PARTICIPATION: Sweepstakes begins September 6, 2009 and concludes on February 7, 2010 and is open to all residents of North Carolina and South Carolina, except employees and immediate family members of Foxy 99, Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc. (BBGI), contest sponsors, their agencies and anyone involved in this contest's production, development or handling. Entrants who reside outside the designated area may enter the contest, but are not eligible to win prizes. By entering, participants agree to these rules and to release, discharge and hold harmless Foxy 99, BBGI, their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies and prize suppliers from all claims and damages arising out of entrant's participation in this contest and/or use/acceptance of any prizes. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
TO ENTER: FIRST: On the Internet, navigate to www.foxy99.com and select the Beat the Broadcasters Link on the home page. TO ENTER & WIN YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2009. After accepting the rules, provide all of the information requested on the Official Entry Form, and click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page. A password and game access link will be sent to the email address contained in your entry form. SECOND: You may also enter the contest each week by placing your selections on a 3x5-inch index card and mailing it to: Foxy 99 Beat the Broadcasters, 508 Person Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Deadlines for submissions on the Internet will be one hour prior to each game each week. All winning entries will be posted on the Foxy 99 Beat the Broadcasters web page. The contest is limited to one entry per person for each weekly drawing. In the case of multiple entries, the last received entry will be accepted and replace any earlier entries. Incorrect phone or email information will result in entrant's disqualification. BBGI, Foxy 99 and its sponsors assume no responsibility for entries or mail that is lost, postage due, stolen, late, misdirected, incomplete, not legible, or if they contain errors. If for any reason the Internet is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes beyond the control of Foxy 99 which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, Foxy 99 reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. By taking part in this contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions of the judging organization. Players may qualify only once for the grand prize on any participating station.
SELECTION OF WINNERS/VALIDATION: WEEKLY CONTEST: Each week there will be a total of two (2) winner from the pool of all players, who may sign up and make an entry on any one of four (4) Fayetteville Beasley Broadcast Group stations hosting the Beat the Broadcasters game. The winning entry will be determined by the highest number of points accumulated for that week's games. Points will be awarded as follows:
Regular season games (16 games per team over 17 weeks) from September 10, 2009 through January 3rd, 2010:
1 point for a win; 0 points for a tie and 0 points for a loss. Tiebreaker: In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be decided by that week's last game (as listed on that week's picks entry form), as follows: The winner will be the entry that correctly picks the winning team AND whose total points is the closest to the actual game's total number of points (without going over the total). If a tie still exists, the weekly winner will be randomly selected from those in the tie.
1st Round (Wild Card) Playoff Games (January 9-10)
2 points for a win; 0 points for a tie and 0 points for a loss. 2nd Round (Division Championship) Playoff Games (January 16-17)

3rd Round (Conference Championship) Playoff Games (January 23-24)
10 points for a win; 0 points for a tie and 0 points for a loss. The BIG Game (February 7, 2010)
15 points for a win; 0 points for a tie and 0 points for a loss. Tiebreaker: In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be decided by entry that correctly picks the winning team AND whose total points is the closest to the actual game's total number of points (without going over the total). If a tie still exists, the weekly winner will be randomly selected from those in the tie.
GRAND PRIZE CONTEST: The person who accumulates the most points at the end of the season will win bragging rights as the Beat The Broadcaster Champion as well as a Grand Prize (50" LG-brand Plasma HDTV and La-Z-Touch 'Chill' Recliner (from La-Z-Boy)) Value: $2500.00 The (1) contestant on Foxy 99 recording the most points over the 17 weeks of regular season and 4 rounds of playoffs will be the Grand Prize winner. NO RESPONSIBILITY IS ASSUMED for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries: or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received by Foxy 99 on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest. All submissions become the property of the Foxy 99 and will not be acknowledged or returned.
PRIZES & ODDS: At the end of the season, the person who accumulates the most points will win bragging rights as the Beat The Broadcasters Champion plus the Grand Prize described below.
The Weekly Prize winners (1st and 2nd places after settling ties):
First Weekly Prize: A Gift Certificate from Norton Car Stereo redeemable for merchandise from the store. Minimum value $70.
Second Weekly Prize: A Gift Certificate from Logan's Roadhouse, redeemable for lunch or dinner from Logan's Roadhouse in Fayetteville.
The Grand Prize: After settling ties, if any, one (1) Grand Prize will be given away. The Grand Prize consists of a trophy and 50" LG-brand Plasma HDTV and La-Z-Touch (from La-Z-Boy) 'Chill' Recliner - featuring built-in HOT Massage AND a chair arm COOLER. If any prize becomes unavailable, Sponsor may award substitute of equal or greater value. Income taxes and other taxes, if any, are responsibility of winners. When required by law, the winner of any prize will receive an IRS form 1099 for the value of that prize, and that amount will be reported to the IRS. Odds of winning depend on the number of entrants. Qualifiers invited to attend the Grand Prize event may be represented by a proxy. Incorrect daytime phone or email information will result in entrant's disqualification. CLAIMING PRIZES: Valid government issued picture ID and Social Security number will be required to claim any prize, and winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Compliance with these Official Rules and a Liability/Publicity Release or an alternate winner may be selected. All Prizes can be claimed at the Foxy 99 studios located at 508 Person Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
